My Journey in Photography

Introduction

People often ask me why I became a photographer. In truth, I don’t think I ever made a conscious decision to become one; photography has always been a part of my life. From a young age, I found myself drawn to capturing images, starting as early as second or third grade. I distinctly remember receiving a camera and taking pictures of the ocean—a rare sight for me, which made the experience all the more meaningful.

A Lifelong Passion

Throughout my life, I have continued to photograph things that move me emotionally. For me, photography is not just a hobby or profession; it is a unique way of looking at the world. While it’s easy for our worldview to become limited—especially by the screens of our electronic devices and the television shows we watch—photography challenges me to expand my perspective and remain present in the moment.

The Purpose Behind Each Photograph

My goal is to capture and share the things that I see and feel. While I admit that I am not always successful in achieving this, most of my photographs reflect moments or scenes that evoke a strong response in me. For example, an image of the sky at dusk, painted with purple and streaks of orange, might seem ordinary to some, yet it serves as a personal reminder of peace and serenity.

Highlighting the Overlooked

I also strive to photograph subjects that are not commonly seen or are frequently overlooked. My intention is to create images that encourage viewers to pause, take a deep breath, and appreciate the beauty and tranquility of the scene before them. Through my work, I hope to inspire others to see the world with fresh eyes and to find moments of beauty and serenity in their everyday lives.
